Setting experience:
I have experience in addiction recovery work in the charity sector, health psychology within the NHS, and mental health support for neurodiverse adults within Higher Education. Additionally, I provide counselling for adult survivors of rape, sexual violence, and childhood sexual abuse across various settings. Over the years, I have developed the clinical competencies necessary for an integrative counselling approach that is responsive to clients with multi-layered support needs.
Professional Development Commitment:
I routinely pursue academic and training opportunities that reflect my core values of promoting equality and my dedication to anti-discriminatory practice. For instance, I hold an MA in Global Cultures from King’s College London, which allowed me to explore the societal and structural inequalities affecting individuals. Furthermore, I have engaged in Clinical Supervision training aimed at developing therapy practitioners who are actively anti-oppressive in their practice and supervision of other counsellors.
I am, therefore, proactive in contributing to the counselling profession, enhancing its ability to provide belonging-focused, empowering, and intercultural practices.
